Houston, TX – April 15, 2026 – Christine Horton, CHC, RDH, FAAOSH, CH-OSE, founder of Fusion Health Coaching and creator of The Fusion PATHWAY, has been awarded the designation Fellow of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (FADHA), one of the highest professional recognitions for dental hygienists in the United States.
The ADHA Professional Fellows Program honors dental hygienists who demonstrate exceptional achievement, leadership, and dedication to the advancement of dental hygiene. Fellows represent sustained excellence across clinical practice, education, research, public health, and advocacy. Christine joins the 2025 class of 94 new Fellows, bringing the national total to 349 distinguished members representing 47 states.
“As we enter the third year of this program, we’re demonstrating how the FADHA designation opens doors for ADHA Fellows,” said JoAnn Gurenlian, RDH, MS, Ph.D., AAFAAOM, FADHA, ADHA director of research, education and advocacy. “When we launched the new Educational Methodologies Course series this year, for example, Professional Fellows were the first subject matter experts we contacted to author courses. This is exactly the kind of opportunity that comes with this designation – recognition as leaders who advance the profession through their expertise and commitment,” added JoAnn Gurenlian.
With over 20 years of experience in healthcare and education, Christine Horton is a passionate advocate for integrating dental and medical care to improve overall health outcomes. As a Fellow of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (FAAOSH) and Certified Oral Systemic Educator (CH-OSE), she focuses on bridging the gap between oral inflammation, systemic disease, and women’s hormonal health, particularly through her coaching work with women living with PCOS.
“This recognition from ADHA is deeply meaningful,” said Christine Horton. “It reflects my lifelong commitment to elevating dental hygiene as a key part of whole body health. Hygienists are educators and advocates whose roles extends far beyond the chair, impacting prevention, inflammation, and systemic wellness every day,” emphasized Christine Horton.
ADHA President Lancette VanGuilder, BS, RDH, PHEDH, CEAS, FADHA also praised this year’s honorees:
“This year’s class represents the depth of talent and dedication that defines our profession, across all professional roles that dental hygienists hold. Our Fellows are shaping the future of dental hygiene through their work in communities, classrooms, research labs, and clinical settings. Their commitment to excellence elevates our entire profession.”
While unable to attend the 2025 ADHA Annual Conference in Long Beach, California, Christine Horton received her official certificate and pin. Fellows receive national recognition through ADHA’s website, newsletters, and events, as well as access to exclusive networking and mentorship opportunities within the organization.
