ATLANTA, GA – August 18, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
The Law Office of Ahmad R. Crews has announced that applications are now open for its 2027 scholarship program, an annual opportunity created to support students pursuing legal studies who might otherwise face financial barriers to completing their undergraduate or legal education today. The firm will award one $1,000 scholarship to help cover tuition, academic fees, and other educational expenses associated with undergraduate or law school enrollment.
The scholarship program is designed to assist students who demonstrate both academic achievement and a genuine interest in pursuing a legal career. Applicants must be United States citizens or hold authorization to work in the country. Eligible candidates must also provide proof of acceptance into an accredited undergraduate program in pre-law or a related field, or documentation of acceptance and enrollment in an accredited law school beginning in the fall of the scholarship year. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 at the undergraduate level is required for consideration.

Applicants are required to submit several supporting documents by August 1, 2027, in order to be considered for the award. These include a current resume, certified academic transcripts from high school for incoming college freshmen or from college for all other applicants, and an acceptance letter from an accredited college or law school within the United States.
Applicants must also submit an essay between 500 and 1,000 words, typed and single-spaced in twelve-point font, addressing a topic related to the student’s intended area of legal practice. Proof of legal residency in the United States, such as a birth certificate, passport, or permanent resident card, is also required as part of the application.
Once selected, the scholarship recipient will receive a $1,000 check issued directly for use toward tuition and associated educational costs, including books, supplies, and living expenses. Recipients are responsible for complying with applicable IRS and state tax regulations and must submit documentation showing how the funds were used.
Selection notifications will be made by email or phone call in August 2027, with the award to be issued in September 2027. As a condition of receiving the scholarship, recipients must agree to the use of their name and likeness for publicity purposes and are asked to submit a video acceptance at the time the award is announced.
All applications must be submitted electronically, with required documents attached in PDF format, by the August 1, 2027 deadline. The firm has indicated that applicants should not contact the office directly regarding the scholarship and that only complete electronic submissions will be considered for review.
The scholarship program reflects an ongoing effort by The Law Office of Ahmad R. Crews to support students entering the legal field by easing some of the financial burden associated with higher education. The firm, which represents clients across a range of criminal defense matters including cases involving domestic violence, has continued the scholarship initiative as part of its broader commitment to the communities it serves.
Each application cycle culminates in the selection of a single recipient whose submission best meets the program’s academic and eligibility requirements, with past scholarship efforts drawing renewed attention through the firm’s ongoing outreach on related community and legal education matters.
Additional details regarding eligibility requirements, required documentation, and the online application form are available on the firm’s website.
